PHOENIX LEGEND The Phoenix was a mythological bird which represented the sun. It was believed that the Phoenix lived for a five hundred year period and then at the end of the life cycle, it would consume itself in fire. Another Phoenix would then rise from the ashes with renewed youth and beauty. This process continued endlessly. From this legend, the original publication of our school yearbook took its name, Phoenix. It was felt that this was appropriate because our school rose from the nashesn of former parish high schools and was intended to be more glorious if possible. It was further hoped that PC would be unique by producing the best possible environment for Catholic education. This education would contain the potential to render that same remarkable gift of endless youth and beauty in a Christian way.
