The deparTmenT sTrived To develop in iTs sTudenTs a sense oT Tair play and good sporTsmanship. ln class The girls were TaughT The TundamenTals oT drill work, along wiTh speedball, soccer, baskeTball, volley- ball, soTTball, Tield hockey, modern dancing, exercises, badminTon, square dancing and Tumbling. Ponce added a new acTiviTy To iTs agenda This year wiTh The MODERN DANCE CLUB. This club'meeTs every Tuesday nighT and is puT Through iTs various rouTines under The capable direcTion oT Mrs. l-lelen SmiTh. The girls wanT To have This club carried over To The new Gables l-ligh School and Trom all indicaTions iT will be. They wear green ouTTiTs ThaT allow Them more Treedom.
