W5 'X -I4 k , iii! The TOMAHAWK is another taskwhich is undertaken by the studious Journalism Class. It is a monthly paper which contains the events that have happened during the month. There are about 189 subscriptions to the TOMAHAWK, Almost all High -Schoolstudents have a subscription. A paper is exchanged with ap- proximately 20 surrounding schools. The editors of the TOMAHAWK the first semester were Lila Rae Rahn and Tom Armstrong. Editors were changed off each month during the second semester. Business Manager is Mardelle Russell. MRS. NEVA TOWNSEND received her B.S. Degree from the University of Nebraska with a major in business and education, and minors in social science, Latin, and English. Mrs. Townsend is the Tomahawk and Indian Spon- sor and also Sponsor of the Pep Club. ml f Y s L i The PONCA INDIAN is an annual published yearly by the Journalism Class of Ponca High School. The first semester the class consisted of 14 students, all Seniors The second semester two dropped out. The class is under the supervision of Mrs, Townsend. Much time and effort go into the work of publishing an annual This is the fourth consecutive year that the PONCA INDlANhas been published. The editors of the PONCA INDIAN this year are Patty Hurley and Larry Harder Business Manager is Wilma Griffith. An annual was published on and off in years past -- 1922, 1923, and 1924. There were no more annuals again until 1931. There was another one in 1939.
