SECOND ROW: Vernon Bottorff, County Sheriff, Bob Kingsbury, County Treasurer, Neil Wellenstein, County Supervisor, Larry Book, County Assessor, Don Curry, County Attorney, Tom Armstrong, County Veteran Service, Jim lddings, Clerk of the District Court, and Ken- neth White, County Supervisor. The American Legion Posts held a Boy 's and Girl's COUNTY GOVERNMENT DAY for 13 of Ponca High's juniors, along with 13 students from each of the other schools in Dixon County on Tuesday, April 8, 1952. The day began, after registration, by a talk from Judge Frum of South Sioux City. Merle Kingsbury conducted most of the day's program. The entire court house was shown to all students. Court trials were also held during the day. The day was ended with an address from Mr. R. C. Pat- terson, Department Adjutant of the American Legion. Left to right, Patty Hurley, Loyd Maskellg Jeanene Stallbaumg Wayne Malcom, Mrs. Jones, co-spon- sor, Bob Kingsbury, Mary Armstrong, Pat Davey, and Darlene Watchorn. Absent from picture, Mrs. Kelly, co-sponsor. The STUDENT COUNCIL was elected at the beginning of the second semester. Two members from each class were elected. Our Canaries The Glee Club consists of twenty- one members who were chosen by try-outs by Mr. Cooper.
