ERBRUU 6 The Cross roads of learning. During November ol the year 1893, the lirst Ponca City school, ct small frame building, was constructed. In 1896, the first stone school building was built on this same siteg the present campus of the junior high. ln 1908, the Ponca City 1-ligh School was a small brick building where the Roosevelt Grade School now stands. Three years later in 191 1, a new gray stone high school building was erected on the original site. The building housed senior high until 1928 when the Howell Building was constructed. Four years alter, the fieldhouse was built, cornpleting the present plant, The passing ol a new bond gives Ponca City students an 33800000 addition to their present facilities, The campus, covering more than eight city blocks, includes North Park, and extends to Blaine Park Stadium. The War Memorial, lovely landscaping, and ideal location combine to give one ofthe most attractive high school campuses in Oklahoma.
