DEDICATIO In recognition of your interest and never tiring service to our school, we dedicate this tenth volume of the 'sCat Talei' to you, J. WIN PAYNE, Superintendent of the Ponca City Schools. During my twelve years of association with the Ponca City Schools and especially during the three years I have served as Superintendent, it has given me great satisfaction to view the con- stant growth of School Spirit and Student accomplishment in both the academic and co-curricular areas of the Ponca City Senior High School. This graduating class has given further impetus to this worthy tradition. During the War years many of our former students made the Supreme Sacrifice and others served with distinction, bringing great honor to themselves, to Ponca City Senior High School, to their state and to this nation. The challenges of today, though of a different nature, are definite, namely: to preserve Democracy at home and to promote World Cooperation so that World Peace may become a reality. By attacking these two issues in the same manner that this class of '49 has attacked all school problems, your contri- bution to your generation can so-ar to an unprecedented height. -3-
