Bonfire Burns Bright y] in °78 It took weeks to build it, seconds to light, But when it was lit, it was a beautiful sight. They worked nights and they worked days, Just to see the huge thing blaze. Now Pompano people were proud to see, Their fire burning as bright as can be. As the sparks and the ashes flew up in the air, The people were happy they were there. As the cheerleaders cheered around the fire, The flames leaped and grew higher and higher. Pompano people will have many more great years, With their ups and their downs and their smiles and their tears.
