FRENCH CLUB ortunity to show their school pride by becoming active in numerous clubs about the campus. Club Week give students an opp Club Week Students were given the chance to become active. This year, for the first time, Club Week was held on the patio. Through Club Week students are given an opportunity to find out about the various clubs at Pompano as they talk to club representatives. Each club advertises its merits and friendly competi- tion can be observed as service clubs vie for prospective members to join the clubs. Keyettes, Cynthia Gray, Michelle Adams, Kris Knab enjoy the various snacks which were carefully prepared for the Sunday tea.

Seniors have the job of choosing juniors whom they want to serve at Bacclaureate, Class Day, and Com- | mencement. Six attendants were chosen to lead the seniors into the gym and several attendants handed out programs to the guests. Graduation for some is the end of their formal education, for others it is just the beginning, with college ahead. Other attendants: Bonnie Mandell and C.L. Googe. 26

Homecoming Alumni return with honors to add to our spirit. Monday of Homecoming week many hard working students spent hours decorating the halls. The Seniors’ theme was the ‘Greatest Show on Earth.” The Juniors’ hall portrayed ‘“‘Stewing the Dragons.”’ Sophomores created a ‘Hall of Fame.’’ Wednesday was Booster Button Day; any student not wearing one had to pay the consequences at the Pep Assembly. Thanks to the “gua rdians of the wood,”’ this year’s bonfire was the largest ever. The traditional Homecoming assembly was enlivened by some original skits, but the most prominent part of the program was the student body’s spirit.
