Senior Job Survey During 1982, Seniors were asked by the Pantera Year- book Staff about jobs that they currently held. The job survey showed interesting and unusual jobs the Seniors at Pomona held. The most common jobs among Seniors were working at McDonalds and Target, both located at 80th and Wadsworth. Most of the Seniors surveyed held jobs during the school year. Many of the jobs were part time and students were not considering a career in the field. During Michelle Carter's senior year she worked at Babes and Brides as a floral designer, located in Lakewood. Michelle enjoys this type of work and plans a career in the field. McDonald's employees included: Mandy Bogan, Cathy Hanna, Sheri Loomis, Dorothy Shaughnessy, Stephanie Sewald, Cody Suer and Allison Wade. Connie feels that throughout her high school career she has been quite successful, at least as far as grades go. She feels that her accomplishments are the result of determination and conscientiousness. During her Sophomore year she worked extremely hard on her studies - it seemed as though she never did anything but homework. She received good grades during that en- tire year and that gave her the desire to keep working. Connie has truly enjoyed her four years at Pomona and she hopes everyone can benefit as much from their high school years as she did. When Larry started school his highest priority was to be valedictorian. That thought kept him going through high school. He plans to get a degree in engineering and then go on to Medical school. His next goal is to be hap- py, because if he can do that he has been as successful as a person can be. Teresa has been involved in the music department for four years. She participated in choir and has played the piano for some of the groups and Stage Band. She per- formed in four musicals and portrayed a part in the spr- ing melodrama and danced in a play. This year she is president of Chamber Choir and Drama Club and belongs to NHS and Optimist Club. Next year Teresa will tour with the group Up With People! Todd has been involved in vocal and instrumental music throughout high school. He has participated in many different bands and has performed in many different choirs. He has held parts in several musicals and plays. Todd has been involved in the production of programs and tickets for the musicals and plays. His artistic ac- complishments also include being set crew director for two musicals. He is responsible for the quartet painting on the vocal room wall. He is also involved in Debate, Forensics, Drama Club, Conquest Club and Optimist Club. Ann has been involved with sports at Pomona for four years. In ninth grade she participated in basketball, volleyball, and track. In her sophomore and junior years she was involved in basketball, swimming and tennis. During her Senior year she participated in basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Ann's favorite sport is basketball, and she will hopefully play basketball for a college. She has lettered in three sports for three years while at Pomona. Stefforn has been involved in sports with Pomona High School for four years. The three sports in which he has been involved were football, wrestling, and track. Stef- forn was awarded All-Conference and All-State his Junior year in track. Football is his favorite sport and next year he plans to attend The University of Kansas and play football there.

by X A, During Garret Derouin's senior year at Pomona High School, he worked with the Arbor Dental Group as a computer programmer. He worked entering pa- tients' file information for a large group of dentists. The data was then used for future references. Garret is definately considering a career in this field. Throughout Andrea Grace's senior year, she worked for the Seattle Nut Company, located in Denver. The job involved performing as a sing- ing telegrammette. Andrea plans to continue with this job along with her planned career as a dance teacher. Target employees included: Tami Cymanski, Cheryl Francis, John Fuentes and Michelle Medrano. Not pictured: Todd Bridgewater, Linda Chapelle, Janine Evangilista, An- drea Grace, Sharon Kropp, Helene Meagher and Jeff Sanders.
