Lori and Brad have been together for one year and seven months. They have future plans after they have both finished college. They feel that they have attended many of the school activities together. They feel that the dates that are the most fun for them are the ones when they are at a real nice restaurant together. Juli and Jerry are pleased to be nominated for the class clowns. They feel that laughter is the easiest and simplest form of communication, and it makes them happy to make others laugh. Maybe, if everyone was a little more the clown, we would have a happier, and more enjoyable society, for all the world loves a clown. Chris has been involved in several different clubs at Pomona and she has been able to meet a lot of neat peo- ple. She feels that spirit club has really been fun, there have been so many unforgettable experiences. Par- ticipating in sports enabled her to make close friends. Being involved with drama club and the musicals has given her a chance to become friends with so many talented people. Being a peer counselor in the student advisor program has helped her to understand herself and to help other people. She really likes the people at Pomona and enjoys going to school here. Mike said Perhaps I was voted Best Personality because of my caring and friendly manner with others. I try to in- volve myself in as many sports and activities as possible and through these I have met a lot of very wonderful people. I tend to treat everyone the same and try my best to get along with everyone I am with. I am outgoing, have a good sense of humor, and pretty much like myself. I try to make it as easy as possible to get along with others. I am very caring and responsive to peopIe's feelings. I AM ALSO MODEST. 75 -.li

Perhaps Todd was nominated for Best Smile because T the way other students feel about his smile. Like the ol songg There are smiles that make you happy. There are smiles that make you blue. There are smiles that wash away the teardrops, as the sunshine steals away the dew. There are smiles that have a tender meaning, that the eyes of love alone may see. But the smiles that fill my heart with laughter, are the smiles you give to me. It is probably the way others react to Todd, in othe words, one smile deserves another. Martha has participated in Student Council for the pas three years and she was Sophomore class president. Sh was nominated one of the five outstanding Sophomore: Martha participated in DECA her junior year. During he Senior year she was elected a student advisor. She feel that dressing well is a big part of her and how you look i important to how people see you and if you dress we people will think well of you. Troy Bryant was also nominated for Best Dressed but wa not available for pictures.

When Becky started Pomona as a Freshman, she was very quiet and shy, but by being a cheerleader she has had the opportunity to meet many people. Over that first year she became very talkative. Throughout the year no matter who she was talking to or what they were talking about, when a guy walked by, her head turned. She feels she would have to attribute being Class Flirt to Mike Williams who decided to change her name from Becky to Flirt . By the end of her first year at Pomona he had managed to tell everyone. Mark has been involved in football, wrestling and track and feels that this has helped him get along with other people very well. He really enjoys talking with other peo- ple too. Perhaps these things helped him to get nominated for class flirt. Susan has participated in Student Council for two years, she was class vice president her senior year.
