Sophomore Cheerleaders The Sophomore squad did well performing for the first time in state competition. They practiced hard and returned to us with an excellent trophy. The competition, as well as the camp they attended in the summer, prepared the girls with more experience that will be quite useful next year. These girls included: Darcey Bejarano, Val Cowles, Kristine Franklin, Alisa Gaston, Stephanie Green, Kristie Hall, Leah Kleptka, Jenny Martin, Simone Nikajevski, Lisa Reid, Sonja Stanly and Shelly Weibel. :DEQ is if X X 4 ua., A

They also took part in winning the State Cheerleading Championship title with the varsity squad in January. The girls had much spirit, and tremendous effort was shown by the squad. This year's Junior Varsity squad included: Stacey Bauer, Lori Bradley, Dianne Donley, Robin Fenstad, Tammy Hall, Mary Heaton, Linda Jarboe, Marcie Martella, Val Muniz, and Kathy Simpson. gn is 262 Spirit Club WWW Win-ana Spirit Club . . . they did just what their name implies . . .they promoted spirit and support throughout the year and school for the athletic events that Pomona participated in. Spirit Club did a great job this year . . . all one hundred and sixty of them! Along with Coach Madden, the officer, Cheryl Uintergardt, Cynthia Lloyd, Phyllis Murray, and Dawn Stubert, activated the group to plan Spirit Week events and assemblies not yet forgotten, various fund raisers throughout the year, and much more. Undoubtedly, our athletes are thankful to you for all your undying support!
