Optimi t Octagon One's life is so much better if his outlook on it is optimistic. Op- timistfOctagon was a bunch of crazy people who got together regularly and had fun. Oh yea, they also did projects for the com- munity fbut they were more fun than workj: lst of Denver Paint-a- thon, Christmas crafts for Lutheran Nursing Home, 9 Health Fair, Rock and Roll Jamboree for Lake Manor Nursing Home, 1980 Listen Foundation Rock-a-thon. Through fund raisers like VaI-A- Grams and a Homecoming Car Wash, the group made enough money to donate to both Lake Manor and the Chris Mastalski Memorial Fund. Later in the year, a Beach Party was planned to promote membership fit was deemed as a big successj and a pro- gressive dinner brought the year to a close.
