MDE DECA IDE and DECA were organizations within the Business Department for those students interested in careers in marketing and istribution. Members participated in a number of activities including the State Leadership Conference held in October which las attended by five members, and the District Four elections, also held in October. Eight members attended. Next came the istrict Four Leadership Training Conference held in January. Fourteen students attended the conference and six qualified for 1e State Leadership Conference held at the Broadmoor in March. They were joined there by three other club members. The year me to a close with the annual Employer Appreciation Banquet which was held at Boulder's Dinner Theatre. One hundred and irty students, employers, and staff members attended the banquet where employers were presented with plaques of apprecia- on by their student employees. Home Ec. doesn't just involve cooking and sewing, two clubs within the depart- cupations QFHAXHEROJ. These clubs provided students with a chance to serve the community, experience on the job training, and provide its members with techniques for cooking and properly eating food. Along with an unending list of individual activities, these groups prepared and served a country dinner in honor of opening night of Music Man. They both went to major Home Economics convention in March where all their knowledge was used. The members of FHA were: Sue Adams, Cathy Aguilar, Monica Aldez, Patty Aldaz, Debbie Alexander, Sue Alfaro, Tracey Allen, Kathy Astatos, Janet Bean, Gary Beesley, Tracey Bennett, Meri Black, Kris Body, Jan Bohan, David Bryan, Deanna Byberg, Tammy Chape, Sonja Colf, Gina Collier, Thonda Coonts, Diane Deverardine, Charmagne Espinosa, Susan Facenelli, Jenny Fessender, Rick Fikani, Terrie Ford, Kevin Gardner, Cindy Green, Sharon lsham, Wendy Jones, Kristie Kinball, Debbie Krauss, Maria Martinez, Marcia Mauk, Michelle McEnterfer, Bridget McKinney, Lisa Pagel, Janel Patton, Paula Peterson, Kim Rachjaibun, Anji Redmond, Doug Robinson, Laura Roybal, Susan Schnitzer, Gail Shultz, Debbie Solly, Stephanie Sullivan, Jill Westlake, Michelle Williams, Ronda Wolf, Lori Vanzart, and Michelle Venable. Dungeons And Dragons The members of this year's Dungeons and Dragons club had only one thing to say about their group. The more advanced the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of pIay. This year's members included: Tom Aberly, Warren Baker, Kim Buxton, Sheryl Coffman, Betsy Connel, Delvin Dixon, Liz Doxator, Bryan Fields, Sharon Gay, Damon Ginnow, Chuck Gravell, Dawna Hans, Laura Loomis, Pat Loomis, Laura McMenemy, Lisa Metcalf, Bruce Neely, Robert Rawlens, Chris Scott, Dee Skinner, Deena Tomlinson, Ned Ulbricht, Julie Vernetti. lnt ract Interact is a service organization, spon- sored by the Arvada Rotary Club, that is dedicated to community service and the promotion of world fellowship. This year, the club took part in many activities, in- cluding: The Arvada Alive Float for the Arvada Harvest Festival, Ridge Home Pic- nic, Travelogue with Rotary, Arvada Alive Skate-a-thon, 9 Health Fair, Rotary Tent Sale, and sponsored a child in Guatemala. The members also had a Christmas party, an Ice skating party, St. Patrick's Day party, and played volleyball with Arvada West and Rotary. This year's active members, sponsored by Mr. In- drebo, and Mr. Benore of Rotary, were: Rene Austin Nice Presidentj, Jackie Body, Diane Brown, Charlene Burns, Oscar de Cardenas, Cherie Craig, Reva Haynie, Robin Hinton, Emilie Ito, Shea Mackin lTreasurerl, Susan McCarty lPresidentJ, Lisa McCormick, Mitch Okamoto, Tom Orr, Dave Rhoads, Diane Rhodebeck, Nancy Robison QSecretaryJ, Lara Schmit, Bob Shepard, and Barb Woskowicz.
