nu Practice and hard work pay-off Gymnastics team shows their prlde Up and over to victory The 1981 Girls' Gymnastics Team had an unusual season with a pregant coach who gave birth during the season. They had to depend on the leadership of seniors Suzy Ford, Julie Murphey, and Francie Howell. They end- ed their season with 6 wins and 2 losses in dual competi- tion. They placed 4th in League and 4th in Districts with Susie Tashiro qualifying for state competition on the balance beam. Julie performs with amazing grace

The Tennis Team faired well in 1981, although a disappoin- ting District final dampened an otherwise fine season. The team finished 6-5 in league competition, and this included tournament victories over Arvada and Arvada West. Singles players Tim Jenkins, Brent Eklund, and Bruce Jarvie and doubles players Dan Deasy and Doug Robison, Tony McGinn and Todd Campbell, Mike Krupansky and Joe Gonzalez, and Tim Deasy and Dave Foster rounded out the team.
