240 Faculty The ten educators that compose the teaching staff of Pomona Science Department are well qualified dedicated teachers. Cumulative, the staff holds nine masters degrees plus two PhD's. The one unifying theme that outshines the staff's academic excellence, is their sincere concern for students. We do not teach Science to students, we teach students science. 242 Faculty The music department at Pomona offers many different ways to enjoy and learn from music. There are large groups such as Concert Choir and Marching Band, show groups like Stage Band and Soundsations and the Musical Orchestra, and specialty classes such as music theoryfhistory, instrumental ensemble and sound recording techniques. Hopefully these groups derive a great deal of enjoyment by performing all kinds of music from classical to rock, as well as creating an appreciation of the composer's efforts and the skill required to perform music well.
