The B weighf fournamenf held in Sanfa Ana every year was played by Mann and Orselli. They foo advanced fo fhe semi-finals before being subdued. Pomona invaded fhe Cardinal courfs May 4fh and conquered fhe Berdoo neffers in a very close mafch, 5-4. Pomona won second doubles, which wenf fo fhree long sefs, firsf, fhird and fiffh singles, fhe lasf fwo also in fhree sefs. The following Tuesda fhe Devil racguefeers finished fhe campaign wiffi a 6-3 win over fhe Riverside neffers on fhe Pomona cemenfs. This win, fhe final of fhe season for Pomona, made a fofal of I4 wins againsf 6 sefbaclcs for fire Lafhammen. Of fhe nine firsf sfring players fhis year, five of fhem were deparfing seniors. Three, Bob Bufferfield, Dennis Mann and Walfer Donnelly, were fhree year leffermen, while Franlc Rodriguez and John Haynes received fwo years. Pomona senf six players fo fhe C. B. L. finals +his year held af Chaffey high school.
