As the annual Ice Cream Social came to a close, it left everyone with lots of spirit to continue the unique school year of 1978-79. Homecoming A ovem ber 20 Excitement was the atmosphere that came from the stands as the 1978 Homecoming queen was announced. Gloria Sanchez, P. C. Senior, took over the reign as queen. This marked the fourth consecutive year that the queen was chosen from Pomona Catholic. The ceremony took place on the Damien football field followed by a parade of floats made by the four classes. On Saturday, November 21st, the Home- coming dance brought a close to the week's excite- ment of Homecoming activities. 48 ,, ,, 5 Ji -.I -'W .e X 4, 1978 AT PF v 2, - L nf 44' ' ff- 1 0? iii, ' f? Adrenaline started pumping as players tstared eye-to-eye across the scrimmage line. The Hrst big action came when Cr stal Nichol, a Sen- . , . . .V ior, plowed through the juniors defensive line i , :,,gg-tg , Sidelined refs ILLL and put six on the scoreboard. Later, the juniors came back with a touchdown pass to Staci Kawa, which tied the score. The fans were going wild. With less than two minutes left in the game, Mary LoPorto intercepted a pass and ran it in for a T.D. After recovering from tears, scrapes, hair-pulling, bruised egos, etc. it ended as a Senior victory! iiigifigtfif' ,,.. BASKETBALL - A SEASON IN TIME Basketball was not only a season of time but also a season of victories, and sometimes defeat. You probably have heard the saying Time Passes, but not for the P.C. Pacers Basketball team. The Pacers played each moment to the best of their ability. The clock slowly ticked, bringing an end to a great basketball season in 1979. BOWLI G I VASIU UFBUWLERS And on lane one is Nanoo-Nanoo, on lane two is Shasbott, and on lane three we have the Garridors and so on. This is not an invasion of Orkans, but an invasion of P. C. Bowling Teams. The P. C. Bowlinl Teams invaded the Landmark Bowling Alley at the beginning of the school year. The teams are a comh bination of both faculty and students.
