Women in flowing dresses, patriots standing ready to fight, and famous men attired in their Sunday best and 'dusted wigs was the scene of the Pomona Catholic campus, not in the year of 177S,.but 1975. The annual Ice Cream Social was held on October 5, 1975. To keep the parents and their children entertained, the Senior and Freshman classes presented historical skits, butter churning and apple bobbing contests, and pony rides. Thejuniors supplied the ice cream, cake, and punch which everybody enjoyed. The cheerful decorations that colored the campus revealed the artistic ability of the Sophomore class. As the finale to the social the students' little brothers and sisters paraded in their bicentennial attire through the grounds of P.C. Besides the oddity of being out of uniform, girls were dressed in crazy costumes repesenting the amount of their enthusiasm. Frizz day started off the week of October 13-16, 1975. Fifties day could not be forgotten as part of those funfilled days. But, Ties, Toes, and Tails day was just as fun. Members of the student body were seen wearing ponytails, crazy-looking socks and far out ties. And, in remembering that 1975-76 signified the 200th anniversary of our nation, a day of Spirit Week was set aside for the Bicentennial. Girls came attired in costumes that appeared to have come from the revolutionary days of the U.S. Ili' l ,K ,Y f A 1 ,or The gang's all here! Another Allen? Since the first Spirit Week was greatly liked and enjoyed by every- one, naturally a second one would occur on the P.C campus. During the week of january 12-16, 1976, P.C. students once more expressed their abundant spirit. Children learn What They Live day signified the starring of that special week. Students could be seen wearing clothing that brought back memories of their childhood days. Class colors were worn by PCers on United We Stand day. Wednesday, surprisingly enough, was set aside for the student body not to dress up in anything special. Actions Speak Louder Than Words day was believed to be the best day out of the whole week. It symbolized that students can show their love, not to mention spirit, without any special gimmicks. Thurs- day broughr about Brotherhood Through Sportsmanshipn day in which people came attired in their favorite sports costumes. Discover- ing your friend's nationality was possible when people wore their native dress on Love Makes the World Go Round day.
