1929 Uhr Banu, The Annual Sixth Form Dance was held on Friday evening, February Sth. The Dance was a great success, not only from the students viewpoint, but also from all those who were present. Twenty-six couples and forty stags attended the dance. Most of the guests reached Pomfret at four o'clock Friday afternoon. From live to six Mrs. Olmsted very kindly held a tea dance at her house. In the evening, in the new Hard Auditorium, the School Dra- matic Club presented The Dictator, a comedy in three acts, During the intermissions, the Glee Club and Mandolin Club assisted in a very enjoyable entertainment. After this, the dance was held in the Main House. There were twelve card dances, after which came general dancing until twelve o'clock, when supper was served. Immediately after supper a llashlight picture of the dance was taken in the hallway. The cotillion, led by Hurd. followed, during which the favors were exchanged. The dance ended an hour and a half later amidst a shower of different colored streamers and confetti. On Saturday afternoon a tea dance was held at live o'clock in the Common Room. ln the evening a moving picture, The Air Fleet, was shown in the Hard Auditorium, after which there was dancing. We wish to express to Mrs. Olmsted our appreciation for everything which she did for us. Wfithout her, the dance could not have been the success that it was. Vife wish also to thank the patronesses, Mrs. XVing and Mrs. Denny, for the help they so kindly gave. 112
