XVise, The Junior High team made a creditable showing consider- ing the fact that the most talented Junior High players cannot compete in Junior High games with other schools because these men are on the Pomeroy varsity team, Mr. Blackburn coaches these boys and states that there are some very promising lads on his squad. Tennis Team The Panther Tennis squad. handicapped by bad weather played only two games to date this season. The Gallipolis Blur Devils defeated Pomeroy 3-2, April l-1. After being rained out at Athens the Panthers again suf fered defeat at the hands of Gallipolis, taking a -l-1 drubbinv Marietta is scheduled to play the Pomeroy netmen May 7 The Tennis Tournament at Athens May 12 and l3 will climax: the season, Tennis Coach J.
