Probably no other period was characterized by such wild, gay aban- donment as the era of the flapper and sheik, the era of prohibition and prosperity. Others tend to look at the '20's rather nostalgically, recalling the Cyst pace, crazy fads, zany music, and good times they experienced. lt is with this view in mind that the 1960 Polytechnic attempts to re- capture some of the spirit of this past decade. The short skirts, long beads, beaver coats, straw hats, and collegiate emphasis are some of the characteristics which cannot be forgotten.
