Friendly, sincere, and hardworking, she was responsible in a large measure for the successful Senior Ball held at the Mark Hopkins. The fall 1958 graduating class was one of the smallest to gradu- ate from Poly in many a year. Numbering some 84 students, the class made up for its small size by displaying a healthy spirit, so typical of the Poly tradition. The officers of the class and the class sponsor are pictured on this page. They were respon- sible for the many successful activities of the fall '58 semes- ter. These included the Senior Canteen, the Senior Jinx, the Senior Breakfast, and, last but not least, graduation. . ,... fi ME, 6 S . .93 uuufgj A, ,fb:e1w, AL LENZINI, co-captain of the varsity football team, was chosen by the class as the man to be president. Guiding the High 'n Mighties through their last term, he was re- spected by all for his schol- astic ability as well as his athletic skill. CAROL FORNI served as sec- retary of the fall graduating class. Her primary iob was organizing various senior committees and helping with diplomas. Jolly and witty, she placed second in the senior poll. As the class prepared to gradu- ate, memories of the past came to the fore. The seniors could not forget: Sandra Caldwell and all she did for Poly, Ann Roz- akos and her writings for the school paper: john Tolliver and his football ability, Eddie Cum- mings and his basketball skill. They would always remember: Miss Jannie Chan, their favorite woman teacher, Charley Bowker, the ideal senior boy, Mary Fon- seca and the Block P, Jackie Clinkscales and her happy dis- position, Mr. Vemon Newell, one of their registry teachers, the spirit that is Polytechnic. i EVA SCHOENBERG com- petantly filled the po- sition of class secretary. She handled the high senior funds and saw that income was not exceeded by expenses. She is well remembered for her many thrilling solos with the A Cappella Choir. PAGE I8 MR.
