O I Blueprints, drawing boards, and slide rules don't usually figure in the day-to- day activities of a high school principal, but Mr. Peterson has been wading through stacks of them as the modernization of Polytechnic begins. The new library is nearing completion and the summer months will see the beginning of changes on the fourth floor. It is anticipated that the complete modernization will take several years, and Mr. Peterson will be busy seeing that the new Polytechnic is adequately suited to the needs of the student body and faculty. The next few years will be a challenge to the principal, but he feels confident that the student body and teachers will give him the needed support to make Polytechnic better than ever .

Qeana ' Room 123 is the headquarters of Mrs. Sigue Walker, dean of girls. In this room Mrs. Walker carries out her many func- tions as assistant principal. She super- vises, counsels, corrects, helps, and in general, does a hundred and one chores in guiding the activities of the girls of Polytechnic. Cheery, pleasant, and a tireless Worker, she is always working to see that things at Poly run a smooth course. Mr. Ivor Callaway PAGE Il Mrs. S igne Walker ..a, 'IU' ' way, Room 124 is the domain of Mr. Ivor Callaway, dean of boys. As in the case of Mrs. Walker, Mr. Callaway is a jack- of-all-trades as he carries out his func- tion of supervising the male members of the Poly population. His office is always filled with boys having problems and problems created by boys.
