Through her direction the department has become one of the largest in the school. In the fall term Miss Beckman announced that she was serving her last semester as a business teacher and would retire. Her presence at Polytechnic has been sorely missed. To her this book is dedicated in deep gratitude for her years of teaching and for all of her work in better preparing the boys and girls of Poly to meet the challenges of the business world.
