Checking on absences, meeting with parents, solving personal problems, and handling late arrivals are a few of her many tasks. Nlrs. Walker is ever-ready to be of assistance to the girls of Poly- tech nic. Mn Harold Zimmennan Dean of Bogs Mr. Harold Zimmerman took over the position vacated temp- orarlly by Mr. Callaway. As dean of boys Mr. Zimmerman was quick to gain the respect of the male members of Polytech- nic. Problem behavior, super- vision, and counseling were a few ofthe general areas covered by the new dean. ' f took a year's leave of absence last X Q . summer, hls position was occupied by Nlr. Ivor Callaway, dean of boys. mi! During his year as acting prlncl- pal, Mr. Callaway gained a whole host of new friends. During this year he displayed unlimited energy in carrying out the duties and ob- ligatlons of his offlce. He worked with the students and faculty on innumerable projects for the bet- terment of the school. He welcomed visitors, organized the monthly calendars, supervised at dances, handled financial matters, presid- ed at meetings, and concentrated on building school splrit. During the past year Polytechnic set many records scholastlcally and athletlcally. Mr. Callaway gave his full support to both projects. Students have growntolooktoward lvlr.
