RYAN, JIM President BOYD, SAN DY Vice-Pres: dent A J 3 Q- TAYLOR, no ROTHY 'TT I Trea su rer 'ff , Y-.. .- ' I .4 I - f s ' I Each year, we Parrots have a warmly contested W election to decide who will help guide our affairs. I As a matter of fact, we go through this TWICE a 6 I year but often retain one or more of the electors for ii some other office when their old term expires. Suddenly, campaign posters blossom all over the school, special assem- blies are held and the various candidates tell of their plans for the fu- ture and their platforms upon which they hope to be elected. Lapel buttons and ribbons add color and excitement to the occasion. Finally, the fateful day arrives and we vote in our homerooms for the candidates we want to lead us for the next semester. What a tense time it is for the office-seekers! Some are glum and some are exuberant, but the losers accept defeat gracefully and pitch in to make Poly ever better for we Parrots, Paul and Polly.
