The Tenth Olympiad! Back to the Greeks of centuries ago with their outdoor life, contests for a perishable wreath, deep interest in the philo- sophically spiritual, and a keen ap- preciation for the beautiful in art. Readers of The Polytechnic Stu- dent, living in Southern California sunshine, make the best of this chance of a lifetime. Imbibe all of the Greek ideals you can; they will come naturally. Aristotle tells us that tragedy is the result of error. We, I think, can see that comedy is also the result of error. Both conceptions from a liter- ary and practical point of view are helpful. One may be corrected and the other may help develop a sense of humor necessary for success. In tragedy let us not lose our sense of humor. E. B. Couch, Registrar
