As a student body organization the Boys' League has three main obiectives: it endeavors to develop student leadership, to promote athletic and social activities on campus, and to render service to the school and to the com- munity. During 1959-60 the Boys' League participating membership grew in both size and spirit. All the events that they sponsored, from the Intramural Sports Program to the sales of programs at the games, were very successful. GIRL LEAGUE Fall semester, The Girl's League was led by President Pennie Capen. The semester began with The annual New Girls Party held for all new girls coming to Poly. One of The biggest undertakings of The semes- ter was The Girls' League Pizza Party. This was The first Time Girls' League has ever sponsored a pre-game activity in The evening. Because of The success of The Pizza Party, Girls' League is in hopes iT will become a Tradition aT our school. Equally successful was The Girls' League assembly which serves To familiarize all girls aT Poly with The functions of Girls' League. The Spring semesTer was led by President Sherry Jones. Under Sherry's leadership, Girls' League held The annual Porter Day in coniunction wiTh Hi Day which was concluded by The Backwards Dance. Its Theme was Paris aT Poly.
