Hyden The Student Government class has been very active this year and has introduced many new policies to better the school's present program. A new Constitution has reorganized the Poly student body in enabling more students to be active in student leadership. The Campus Control Committee has been instrumental in establishing a tradition which will continue throughout many years. A new activity was introduced in the spring semester which helped to acquaint many students with the teaching profession, this was the Student-Faculty Day which is going to become an annual activity. An orientation movie for incoming sophomores depicting life on the Poly campus was completed which featured all phases of campus activity. Also, to further Poly's publicity, a magazine article was introduced to many of the national magazines to acquaint the community with the Home of Scholars and Champions. Among the routine activities of the Student Government class are the council and commission meetings held every Wednesday and Thursday respectively of each week. These meetings are instrumental in bringing about the many new activities and programs to the student body. The Student Government class of 1960 wishes to extend to Mr. William Miller, the Director of Activities, their gratitude for his unceasing efforts in making the 1959-60 student government a successful function on Poly's campus. A great way to recognize many of the desires of Poly's large student popu- lation is to first find out what they want.
