TO MR. REID: For his kind considerafion and unfiring efforfs in bef- fering our school, we, 'l'he class of '47, dedicafe our yearbook as a permanenf remembrance of our sincere appreciafion. ' From Chaperon-Baseball Coach fo Regisfrar-Vice Principal-fhis briefly summarizes Mr. Reid's forfy years of unselfish service fo Poly High. Few know fhe exfenf and originalify of Mr. Reid's confribufions 'lo our curriculum. For example, if was he who was insfumenfal in inifiafing fhe presenf sysfem of credifs and pre-regis- frafion. The year 1907 broughl' Mr. Reid fo Long Beach High School as a feacher of science and mafhemafics: and since 1917 he has served as Regisfrar-Vice Principal, giving special affenfion fo sfudenf body finances, rec- ords, and regisfrafion. His careful organizafion of our schedules has helped fo insure harmony befween 'leach- er and class.
