John Welch, President Myron Hootman BOARD EDLICATICD These individuals on this page made up the Polk Local Board of Education for the school year 1958- 1959. Again as in the past, the year proved to be a busy one for all concerned. The first Wednesday night of each month found the board meeting in regular session. During these meetings, the board carried on the routine business of running a schooL This included such things as: hiring teachers, other staff per- sonnel, buying supplies, textbooks, etc, making decisions on building repairs, etc.: planning and approv- ing the yearly budget, working on operating levies, and a multitude of other problems. Much credit needs to be given to these individuals for their devo- tion to their elected positions. The year also saw Mrs. Mary Rf fi Q, v J A gk :zz 4 -Q ': .V -we .
