During his four years at Polk High School, Herschel earned a 92, 18 average, taking a strong college preparatory course. Larry's average for four years was 91.91 earned in a gen- eral course with emphasis on busi- ness training, Both boys were active in class plays and took part in mix- ed chorus and boys' glee club, as well as serving on the annual and school paper staff.
