CLASS HISTORY In 1945 Mrs Fox was blessed w1th26 new charges They were- Ruth Chacey Dale Crossen Plulxp Crossen Nancy Garver Dean Gast J errv Hartley Joyce Hootman Barbara Howell Gladys Johnson Jean Ketth Clarence Lmdsey Emma Netta Longcoy Judy Lucas Larry Messmore J tmmy Norr1s Marlene Oxender Joyce Renyolds Chester Smlth Duane Snuth Joyce Strett Dtann Turk Johnny Weaver Bonme Wlley Shtrley Wtlltams Sandra Wxlson and Dorothy Zeh In the summer of 1946 Chester Smlth moved to Ashland In the fall we came back to Polk H1gh School as second graders Mrs Fox was agam our teacher In September however we gamed Kenneth Workman and Eu1aSchoonover and 1nOctober Joe Hambley came tn maklng 27 1n our class Durmg the course of the year we lost Judy Lucas Larry Messmore and John Weaver leavmg us w1th 25 Durmg the summer of 1947 Joe Hambley moved away but we gamed Walter Blgelow Davtd Holland Bob Honce Donald Johnston J1m Platt Ralph Walmock Byron Weber and Mary West Thus we started our thtrd grade w1th 32 members Mrs Bordner was our teacher In the fourth grade we gamed Pat Sweet and Janet Thompson but lost Byron Weber and Jean Ketth Thts left us w1th 32 members and Mrs Bordner as our teacher In the ftfth grade our class was d1v1ded Half of us were w1th Mrs Workman and the other half w1th Mrs Astre This year we lost Nancy Garver and J1m Platt We gamed Sue Owens and J1m Rush maklng a total of 32 In the stxth grade our teacher was Mrs Asxre. We gamed three new members They were Mary Owens B111 Rlchert, and Imogene Tenny We lost Mary West leavtng us w1th 34 members 1n the class Mrs Moffett was our seventh grade teacher At the begmnmg of the seventh grade we lost Mary and Sue Owens, but gamed Sh1r1ey Mlddaugh Our offtcers for th1s year are Prestdent News Reporters B111 Rlchert and Sandra Wtlson.
