FOOTBALL Although the 1981 football team compiled a dismal 1-8 record, it was not an indication of the experience gained. The squad of 19, which consist 14 underclas n, ially outweighed and under expe- rienced. The players showed their “pride” and “character” the entire season. Some of the brighter moments in the season were the win over Nebr. Christian, even with the hour black out. Greg Dose rushing for 725 yards, Ben Redmans 35 yard gained around for a T.D., the swinging gate, and the improvement by the younger players.
