DEDICATION With deepest gratitude and appreciation for the many hours he has unselfishly devoted to the upkeep of our school, we, the seniors of 1965, sincerely dedicate our yearbook to Charles Norquest, our custodian.

I Goals and Opportunities The future of mankind will be determined by the academic pursuits of this generation. The preservation of our way of life and freedom for all mankind depends on the learning and how we use it. Learning alone will not suffice; learning directed toward the aid of all and with an unselfish interest can accomplish this. Give everyone an opportunity to benefit from your learning and you give everyone an opportunity to teach you as well. Be able to use these tools and with the help of God make for a better world. I know this class and the student body has the ability to do so. Principal, William E. Thompson Man accomplishes little without goals. The only thing that comes without any goal or without any effort is old age. Opportunities arise each day: none is ever lost-- the other fellow takes those that we we let go by. It's not always the man who makes no mistakes, Nor always the one who can get all the breaks; Not even the one who appears such great shakes, But the one who can show that he has wnat it takes.'' Most of all it takes a wise use of what we are each given free and equally: Twenty-six letters in the alphabet Twenty-four hours in a day. How strange the same tools are giv'n wise men and fools, But they don't use these tools the same way. May 1 suggest the following as some important things to remember in setting goals and using the opportunities which arise to reach the proposed goals: the value of time, the success of perseverance, the pleasure of work- ing, the worth of the character, the power of kindness, the influence of example, the obligation of duty, the wis- dom of economy, the virtue of patience, the sound of laughter, the joy of originating, and the thrill of doing it. Best wishes to you, seniors, as you set new goals and use opportunities which you will be meeting each day to attain the worthwhile ones. Superintendent, Walter C. Nielsen Seniors and Student Body
