'i v» • - - CLASS FLOWER Gladiola CLASS MOTTO Not The Sunset, But The Dawn CL„ P. oem Tonight we're all together. But so soon we'll be apart. Yet. those many pleasant memories Will linger in each heart. From unimportant freshmen To seniors of renown. We've worked for four long years With many a smile and frown. At freshman initiation Many tears were shed. Was it embarrassment or onions That made our eyes so red? Into the long, hard sophomore year All seventeen of us sunk. After we took geometry. We were sure that we would flunk. As juniors, buy class rings Was really quite a joke. But who had the final laugh, When we all went broke? Somehow, we all made it To that final grade. As the big wheel seniors, We really had it made. And now it's graduation. We'll heed what's all been said. For now we really realize That our future lies ahead. V CLASS COLORS Turquoise and Silver 22

CU P„U ropnecy Here we are in the year of 1971; I wonder what our old classmates are doing. LetTs take a trip and find out. Our first stop is at the Naval Training Base in San Diego, California. While looking around the base whom do we see but JACKIE CRAMER who is conducting a class on How to Catch a Sailor.” Among the many students she teaches, we find SALLY NORQUEST. Sally has been getting wonderful grades and to graduate she needs a MRS Degree. By the way, we hear she is graduating soon. While flying home from California, we see a strange object in the sky. What is it? Why, itTs our old classmate RODNEY JOHNSON in his new invention, which he lovingly named the Willits Special.” Rodney claims he'll make loads of money on the invention. Next we see PAT FUNK who had just received her Merritt award. We hear that she has been working for it since about November. We're not sure what it is for, but Pat says that it is for her outstanding ability to charm a certain boy. In a quiet tent in Arabia, we see MICKEY FJELL, with his harem of 1,001 wives. Mickey finds this very relaxing. Mickey is the envy of all his former classmates, of the male sex, that is! In a New York night club, we find JUDY ADELSON, doing impressions of all her former teachers. Judy is a big hit at this. She is making a lot of money and says that it really isn't too hard to do, considering the teachers. We find that DOUG STEVENS has had a hard decision to make — that of deciding whether to become a banker or a doctor. But, he has finally decided to become a doctor on the influence of his wife who is a R.N. Next we find JANET GRAVES working as a mechanic in a well-known garage in York, Nebraska. We hear she is doing quite well. Her latest project is keeping a 1950 black Ford in running condition so it can keep making those 20 miles trips to Polk as often as possible. LEON MEERKATZ is seen racing at Salt Flats with his 1931 Studebaker. He is now called the ”1’lying Devil of Salt Flats.” Having run in about 12 races he has wrecked only about a dozen cars. THELMA SCOTT is found in Washington trying to get a skyscraper in Polk. Thelma seems to think Polk is a growing town and is trying to find a place for all her old friends, the teachers, to live in comfort. We find GENON STOHL teaching physical education at Creighton Prep. Genon thinks a lot of her teaching profession and also of her students. GARY STROMBERG is found teaching Spanish and Driver Education. Each of Gary's students has only wrecked onecar each. Gary says this is an outstanding record, considering the circumstances. GAYLORD DOSE lives on a huge farm consisting of 2 1 2 acres of land. Gaylord says his corn crop is yielding 1 2 bushel an acre which is awfully good. He says he is figuring on getting rich quick. GARY HARLESS is found running for President of Mexico. Gary's chances are very good because he speaks Spanish so fluently. BRUCE CRAMER is found running a used car lot in Stromsburg. He specializes in the Susie Special” and thinks it is pretty good. LYNN JOHNSON is seen playing ball with the Globe Trotters. Lynn has replaced Wilt Chamberlain and seems to be doing very well. We see EDITH OTTE busy in a chemistry lab at the University of Nebraska. She says some of her experiments are a real blast. She likes her worl$ but thinks it is pretty risky at times. 2 1
