Histless at first until I recognized the faces of old P.H.S. Then I sat erect for now I could truthfully (?) prophecy. The city of Polk had grown, and now its wJLde boulevard with flags was bedecked. Then came a great procession and I heard the herald proclaim that it was Homecoming Day for those who were famed and had graduated from Polk High with the class of '49 Mr. Willert standing on the band stand of Polk, Nebraska is giv- ing brief summary of what the Seniors of 49 are doing today. Prof. Leland Anderson is seated at his desk going over his His- tory assignment for tomorrow as he rocks one of his children on his knee. RoJean is putting the other children to bed. % Mrs. Gilbert Springer is haloing overhaul the family car by hold-' ing the wrenches. Mr.Springer now has his own parare in Polk where the former Fredrickson s Implement Shop was located. You will pro- bably remember Mrs. Springer better as Clydella Baker. Dorothy Dahlln is working part time for a Minneapolis Moline Co- mpany as private secretary for the president of the firm, Philip Mel- ine. She also sings at the Trivoli Opera House four nights a week. She is looking forward to making her debut in New York next month.
