SENIOR PROPHECY Friends, faculty, and parents of the class of U43.U Since peace I have been traveling the country and while at Lansing, Michigan, I saw Dorothy Davidson who is engaged in the making of ratt lers for babies. She told me that during the war she and Vera were in the WELCS and they found it a very interesting life. During the conversation I asked her about her old class mates. She told me that Helen Green had been married several years to Junior Stroud, and that they own- ed a grocery store called HStroud's Bestn at Poling I learned that Larry Gillespie, a Navy man during the rar has now re-enlisted in the Navy. He and his wife, nee Bonnie Glentzer, lives by the sea shore close to his station. Bonnie teaches music and singing in her spare time. Dorothy also told me that Jim Lewis went back to Poling and is non teaching boxing. Jim learned how to box while serving in the Navy Air Corp dur- ing the war. It is rumored that he and Joann will set a wedding date soon. Bob Hunt, who was a pilot during the War, came back to Poling telling evbryoneiabohtthls'thrilling experiences of shooting down Japs, He has several souvenirs, among which he has two Japlears. Darwin Huey did very well in the Army and was very proud of his uniform. He and his wife, nee Mildred Smith live very modestly in a small cottage at Poling town. I wasn't surprised to learn that Max Blanken- baker had been a chaplain in the Army and is now - pastor of The Poling Friends Church. He is very f happily married to Dorothy Ineichen. ij, -- ,K .. 4, 5 1, ..A ifiwwx .,,. , ,AQ X,-:f - . ..,,.. ff4...f, f J.. , Q-v',.':, is., . -, . .,, ,,,m
