In September of this year, the Senior Band made its debut at the annual school fair. Its second undertaking was the annual trip to Cor- nell University for Band Day, where it was one of 65 bands participating. During the months of September and October the band also played for several parades in the area. In the early part of December they shared a benefit per- formance at Proctor High School for underpriv- ileged children. On the nineteenth the annual Christmas Concert was presented in the school auditorium, with a tym- pani solo by Gary Chaf- fee and a trombone solo by Tony Lehman. Sev- eral band members at- tended the January all- county sectionals at Herkimer High School. Thereafter the band pre- pared for Contest, where they received their state rating.
