HGME ECONGMICS Home Economics is not for girls only! Everyone is invited to join the many exciting classes offered at P.P.B. Home Ec. 1-4, Chef Class, Home Economics for seniors, and Sewing Workshop are the courses offered in the Home Economic Department. In H.E. 1-4, the courses are divided into two semesters, food and cloth- ing. Since styles change and opinions vary, y what is taught changes from year to year. However, what is taught is fun and enjoyable. Chef Class is offered to students interested in study- ing food preparation. H.E. for seniors isioffered to senior stu- dents interested in a survey course and who have had little or no prior H.E. courses. Some areas covered in this course are food, nutrition, clothing, home furnishings, child care, and fam- ily economics. Whether boy or girl, taking courses in H.E. can help to prepare the students' future as homemakers and for some, give the necessary tacks for survival.
