class history We entered the high school as screaming little 8th graders, but we were soon to discover what high school life was really like. We had learned a lot in those first short months, after winning our share of stuffed animals and psychodelic posters we now considered ourselves experts in the field of magazine sales. Pep rallies and Spirit Week were also introduced to us and with determination we showed everyone we did have spirit. Before we realized what had happened we were on our way to Washing- ton for what we thought was the trip to end all trips. After finishing our first day in Washington with the usual sightseeing and near suicide over the food they had tried to serve us, we got down to the real purpose of the whole trip ...... the night in the motel! Soon .lune came and we all iammed into the gym dressed to the teeth for graduation only to find out it was the hottest day of the century!! Freshman year came lat last!!l and every FROSH, as we called ourselves, packed the stands for Saturday's football games. This was also the beginning of our long string of advisors, llittle did we know this was to become a traditionllj. Two years had sped by and suddenly we were sophomores. We found ouaelves with a new administration and yet another new advisor! Our first proiect as sophomores was an all out attack on Pt. Pleasant with our candy sale. Class dues was also an experience, after collecting an astounding 54.47 we began to have second thoughts. Feeling like we had cornered the market on gold we received our class rings. Near the end of the year we settled down and began to have meetings lor was it battles?l to decide our Junior Prom theme. - Q Junior year finally rolled around or fell on us depending on how you felt! This will be remembered by all as the year of the great fight , for after nearly 3 months of discussion l?l we more or less settled on a theme. Little did we know that the REAL work was yet to come!! Finally after' months of organizing and painting lwith a few paint fights in betweenl the task of trans- forming the gym into our version of Heaven was upon us. Our Stairway to Heaven was truly that as it was felt to be the best prom in the history of the school lespecially to uslll. And once again keeping with tradition we received another new advisor! We braced ourselves for SENIOR year as the end was in sight. As seniors we were shocked to find we still had the same advisor as last year lit was about time they found a noble soul!!l. Well with that tradition broken we carried on with the other traditional senior things, Fifties Day, and YES, the 3rd annual last bonfire. Our class can even be credited with returning a few old tradi- tions like Spirit Week lwhich of course we wonll, outdoor pep rallies, pep rallies with people at them, Pep Club, and yes, even SENIOR PRIVILEGESI!! Senior year was highlighted by Senior Clash Day which brought out the true personalities in all of us! The Powderpuff Football game and the return of the all MALE cheering squad was a great success as we squashed the Beach girls I4-0. The Senior Variety Show was different to say the least! No one could easily forget the Senior Trip, and the Ball will always' be remembered by all. Now that Graduation is upon us, we suddenly realize that we are really one as a whole and we leave fhe Boro knowing that it will never be the same again for we depart not knowing what the future holds for us, for only time will tell.
