Managers for the various sports I were chosen by Mr. Konnert, and under the guidance of these student managers, teams were organized. Good sportsmanship was displayed in all games. The senior team took the laurels. Among other sports carried on as a part of the intramural program are: horseshoe, indoor baseball, foul shooting and volleyball. Page Fifty-Hve

SECOND ROW- Shirley Bell, Gertrude Schultz, Mary Westrick, Ethelyn Metzger. 49 QP GIRLS' INTRAMURAL CHAMPIONS VOLLEYBALL tournament which was conducted under the spon- A sorship of the Girls' Athletic Association was the opening event I of the Girls' Intramurals. The tournament was played in elimina- tion style. Two leagues, representing two teams from each class, were formed. The winning team of each league played in the final game for the volleyball championship. The Sophomores retained their laurels of the previous year by defeat- ing the other Sophomore team. The winning Sophomore team consisted of: Thelma Bebb, Dorothy Seeman, Violet Suzor, Mescal Haynes, and Dorothy Rudolph. The second event of the Girls' Intramurals was a basketball tournament. This tournament was conducted quite differently from those of previous years, being played in competition style rather than that of elimination. Each class was represented by two or three teams, divided into two leagues. Points were given to each team attired in gym clothes and for the number of games won. The members of the team with the next highest number of points received certificates. Page Fifty four
