A tr' Junior Class History HE PRESENT junior Class has a most extraordinary history as I will attempt to show you Their organization as Freshmen consisted of Stanley Miekicki as presidentg Robert Hendee, viceapresidentg and Dorothy Roper, secretary-treasurer. Late in October, these Freshmen held a grand Halloween Party surprising everyone, yet proving that all Freshman are not so inexperienced as is usually believed. With Mr. Caldwell, Mr. Bear, and Mr. Hendrickson advising and leading, these new students prepared to take their place in their upper-classmen roles. During the second year of their high school career, Tom MacDowell was elected presidentg Gertrude Schul.z, vice presidentg and Shirley Bell, secretary-treasurer. A Sophomore Spring Sprint was presented by these students. This was just one of the unique and successful ideas that they have had. They received the plaque, which was presented by the school to the class giving the most educational and interesting assembly programs. Always climbing, climbing, constantly on the upward move, they went up another rung in the ladder of success when they became juniors. The juniors started their activities with the election of their class officers. Jack Passino, president, Carol Fisher, vice presidentg Wallace Garvin, secretaryg Melvin Castleton, treasurer. They presented their play The Tin Hero, with Betty jane France and Carrol Fisher taking the stellar roles, and a supporting cast of Mary Lou Roby, Wallace Garvin, Adelia Riley, Gertrude Schultz, Donald Ricker, jack Passino, Virginia Borchard, june Singleton and Alice Marie Oberdier. Their play was most successful. Another laurel to add to their already large collection. After holding a card party, they began plans for their J-Hop. A most decorative and gala affair. They put their dancce over in fine fashion. The Junior-Senior Banquet, the culmination of their junior year will long be remembered by all. Page Twenty-two
