Gold Pride The spirit this year at Point Loma has been the best I've seen since I came here, commented Mrs. Huff, it's really nice to see students getting involved in so many activities. One of the ways spirit was boosted was with pep rallies every Friday at lunch. Mr. Thumb and his Fingers, the Point Loma jazz band, and the cheerleaders entertained students and staff with songs and cheers. David Arney remarked, l liked the last pep rally when the band played longer. lt was really peppy. The new Drill Team added excitement to PL pepral- lies and football games by doing dance routines to music. Dee Woodmansee, a Drill Team member, said the team is really exciting, but more girls should get involved. Cowboy day was an exciting time for many PL students.
