In The Beginning . . . l Saying goodbye to 2 a.m. bedtimes and hello to 6 a.m. alarm clocks, was Jenee Cummins comment about returning to school. Todd Bechtal added, Now I won't be able to surf at Nobes all day. Other students thought differently, and as Dina Sousa put it, Coming back to school meant that I would see all of my friends who were gone or busy this summer. Most students agreed that the summer went by too fast. Hopefully the school year will go by just as fast! stated Billy Fox. But as the first week of school prog- ressed, things began to cheer up and the old routine was back. lt seemed like everyone got settled and 6 a.m. didn't seem so early anymore, commented Sara Ash- worth. The first week of school ended with an all-school as- sembly. The coaches introduced their teams, and the cheerleaders showed their stuff. The Drill Team, a new addition to PLHS, 'Went Inside Out' with a dance num- ber. lt was a good idea to have the assembly. Everybody got to see what was happening and the guys got to see the cheerleaders! exclaimed Dain Spore. 1. Having a good time at the first dance is Ftuss lmlay and Anne Pitta. 2. After two years of registration, it still is confusing. 3. Tom Nemeth enjoys helping out at registration. 4. Looking for a helping hand at registration is Walter Turner. 5. V Spirit Soares High few!! A 3 Showing their Sky High spirit are a few P.L. tourists. Having fun popping balloons are Chrissy Hulihan and Lynn Crakes. Spirit Week is a lifesaver for Jessica Silva and Emmanuel Bautista. The Macho Pointerettsf' Sandy Roberts, one of the outstanding cheerleaders. P.L. Coaches belt out a song of victory. .The Homecoming field looks great with a new P.L. Cheerleaders from past and present cheers pointers to a 1980 victory.
