COUNTESSES Point Loma’s Countesses had another successful year beginning with a visit to University Hospital, a homecoming float and a formal initiation. Other projects included the annual Christmas Bazaar, fund raising sale, Easter visit to Schweitzer School, and Sophomore Tea for prospective members. Packing all of Point Loma’s student body into the gym for an orientation assembly, was the beginning of the ASB activities for the new year. Brevity of the meetings was stressed and Ranger Rick’s PB J sandwiches were traditional. This year’s activities included the restocking of the ASB store, stag dances, the Variety show and the Cashai dancers. The ASB also learned the value of the dollar does not go far. Organizations 23

a rr HIGHLIGHTS Highlights’ year started out with the addition of a new sponsor, Mrs. Joanne Woodward. Some of their activities were: a homecoming float, Thanksgiving dinners for needy families, helping at the Children’s Hospital Fair, and Christmas Caroling.
