Homecoming Happenings Kickoff, Hoats, balloons, excitement. Homecoming began with the hour lunch and a spirited Pep Rally. Kickoff was at 3:00 against Patrick Henry. The fighting Pointers gave the Patriots a good ight, but the Patriots pulled ahead in the second half and the final score was 27-10. Presentation of the stunning Homecoming Court began the halftime show. There were a great many floats this year made by Key Club, Highlights, CSF, and Film Club. Point Loma's lvlarching Band, under direction of lVlr. Hickman, gave a great musical show on the held. For the climax, 1200 colorful balloons were released as the football players crashed through the 100 yard B-100 banner. Alumni showed their loyalty to Point Loma by coming back for Homecoming festivities this year. Cheerleaders from 1974-1977 were on hand to cheer for their alma mater and give spirit to their team. Homecoming Day ended with the Jailhouse Rock. The dance was a complete success this year with the help of Ted Griswold and Vicki Fraser, the dance chairpersons. The band l'Vision played rock and roll from 8:00 to 11:00. All in all, Homecoming '76 will be one day long remembered. 14 Student Life
