A ten won-twelve l-ost record was surely not the best in Point Loma history, but their triumph over San Diego 58-57, which brought to a climax the. Cavers' three-year reign over the Pointers, was nothing less than sensational. After this, a crucial heartbrealc- ing loss to Lincoln had its effect on the Lomans.
