SUMMER CLASS HISTORY Ten One joyous morn in '28, We entered, four score strong. We never shall forget that date, Though the time has seemed so long. Our hair was standing up on end, Our hearts were beating fast. Ourselves we could not well defend, But, oh, that didn't last! Cabbage-heads we were next year, Those below, we scorned. Our days were filled with much more cheer Although at times we mourned. Although we felt that we were high, We honored upper classes. They no doubt thought us small fry, Just one among the masses. Our freshman year then followed soon, And algebra we took. When through, we sang a happy tune, While handing in each book. Sophomores, finally we became, ln the year of '3l. We boasted loudly that high name, After three years done. While we were Juniors, just last year, We sponsored the noon dances. Our treasury was down, we fear, To lowly circumstances. The Junior-Senior prom we gave, With merriment and fun. The day before had been so grave, With each diploma won. At last our greatest moment came, When Seniors we were made. Our class then leaped out into fame, But, oh, the price that we had paid! Our last year was a busy one, With graduation near. Our ditch-day was such splendid fun, As you no doubt did hear. Now in the year of '34, Our class bids all adieu. We hope to see you all once more, Our friendships to renew. -Q., Please think of us and wish us well, Till we see you again. ln your remembrances to dwell, And always to remain.
