ictry of cz elzior February 7-XVell, here we are Senior .LYS at last. All the old kids are back and there are some new recruits. March ll-There have been loads of dances this month. One, the Gac dance, was given at the Point Loma Club House and everyone had a great time. April 18-The Iunior Ais presented the hrst of a series of dances that are to raise money for our senior prom. April 5-The glee clubs gave an operetta today. It was good, but the shock came when we were ushered out after what we thought was the hrst act. April 22-The baseball season started today, and the senior class was well represented by Hal Shepherd. April 28-Annual plans are hnally nearing completion. The business staff has been selling advertising to everybody's father. The annual contest has started in earnest and three captains have been chosen, Bob Dienes, Harold Shepherd and Betty Plaister. A chart has been set up in the hall and there is much interest in the three pointers that represent the teams. It looks like Bob Dienes is going to break the tape. May l-The annual May Pete was given today in the auditorium. In the Pageant of the Hours. Bernice Rhode represented Morning: Hattie Shepherd, Noon: and Mary Fitz- gerald. Night. One of the gayest dances on the program was a tango given by the Senior A girls. May 6-Enter Madame and her suiters. Madame was ably performed by Althea Osborne and the supporting cast was excellent. May 14-The Iunior A Benefit Bridge given at the home of Charlotte Bassler attracted many seniors. Beautiful prizes were presented to those holding high score-cards. May 21-The annual Glee Club picnic held at Mission Beach was a great success. After a swim, there was a huge bonlirc and songs. May 31-Senior Ditch Dayl All seniors donned their holiday clothes and away we went, trusting that Point Loma could survive the day without us. Iune 19-Baccalaureate Services were held tonight. lt was very impressive and more than one senior had a lump in his throat. Iune 25-The graduation ceremony was one of the loveliest Point Loma ever had. The grad- uation march was played while the senior procession wended its way slowly to the flower-bedecked platform. Our sentiments were Fittingly expressed by members of the class and delightful musical numbers were presented by the Glee Club. Diplomas were presented and afterwards an informal reception was held. The Seniors realized that now the time had come to bid Point Loma a fond adieu. Iune 24-The prom-our prom. The dance was given at the Elks, club and the music was furnished by the Rhythm Boys. Of course everyone had a glorious time, but itis just a bit sad to realize that this is the end of oneis high school life. Well, little diary, you have served your purpose in recording one important semester and now I Write regretfully- Fz'nz'.v. THE POINTER Page Tlzirfccu
